Garibaldi Community “Building” Day!
1025 Slocan St., Vancouver, BC
SATURDAY, AUGUST 29th
9 am – 5 pm

Come out and help us build our new playground SATURDAY, AUGUST 29th

The day will involve

• Assembly of our 2 new structures led by Habitat Systems
• General Clean-up and Renewal of our grounds & Community/School Garden

Coffee and Treats have been gener ously donated by Starbucks for the morning and we ask the Garibaldi Community to participate either by attending the build session and/or by donating potluck items :) for the volunteer’s lunch.

On-site we will make available

• Bathroom facilities;
• Water;
• Basic tools; and
• Big Smiles.

We ask if you are helping out that you

• Arrange child care for your children (as there may some hazards on site);
• Bring your water bottle/coffee mug;
• Bring a food item to share if possible;

In addition

We will also be selling tickets for our final fundraising event dedicated to playground funding taking place on September 19th at Hastings Community Centre. This fundraiser will be a chance to let your hair down (or perhaps pin it up) with fabulous bands, drink and special surprises. Meant for adults, this event will be themed “Prom Night, Your Era” and we encourage you to dust off your prom attire and get ready for an evening of dancing and perhaps the odd giggle. Tickets are $25 per person or $40 for two. More details will follow.

We are short some tools for the build: Please let us know if you have any of the following and would be willing to volunteer them for the build.
