Meeting Notes for June 25, 2008

  • Most of the discussion focused on the DL learning component and
    how that will proceed.
  • Diane Wilman provided an excellent overview of the information she had gathered through her interviews with the Home Schooling parents.
  • Anna Marie presented the PR info sheet and that will be translated and circulated via a postal code drop.

June 17, 2008 Garibaldi Annex Implemenation Team (GAIT) Meeting Minutes

Hi Friends of Garibaldi!

Great ideas were exchanged last night with lots of great discussion! It was wonderful to have so many new faces and new home learners present, along with representation from our new V-P, Bridget and present V-P Anna-Maria, Steve Lott from the VLN program, Gary and Diane from Frog Hollow (FH) and Robin Anderson of CFEC + many more in attendance.

PAC Meeting Minutes - June 18, 2007

Anna Maria reported on last night's GAIT meeting.
The next GAIT meeting will be at 4:00 PM, June 25.
Review of GAIT process. Several parents of home learners in attendance.
Need to marry Friends of Garibaldi with the PAC expressed.

May Potluck review. There was general agreement that it was fabulous. $572 was raised by the raffle.

The Year-end assembly will Wednesday, June 25, at 9:15 AM. The graduating grade 4 class will be honoured. We will be saying farewell to leaving teachers. The PAC will also make a presentation.

Cultural events for 2008/9: Brigitte Browning will discuss with PAC in September.

PAC elections will be held at a PAC meeting in September.

New Vice Principal for Garibaldi

Anna Maria Nicoli-Mullet is leaving Garibaldi to take over as principal at Chief Maquinna School on 2nd Avenue and Slocan. Our new Vice Principal is Brigitte Browning, who comes to us from Grenfeld Elementry (http://grenfell.vsb.bc.ca/default.htm).
